Background:

The school is situated in lovely grounds in the village of Abbots Ripton. The main school building was built in 1963 and consists of a reception area and offices, a school hall, school kitchen, library and a small ICT suite used for group teaching, a staffroom, cloakroom for boys and girls and three of four classrooms. The Kingfisher class, year 3/4 is currently housed in a mobile classroom on site, but exciting plans for the construction of a new permanent fourth classroom have been drawn up. When these plans become reality the school will also be able to build new toilets, two new group rooms and a multi-media library. The school aims to be inclusive school. It hopes to make all its children welcome and feel happy to look forward to their school day. Every child is different and the school views differences as an opportunity for adults and children alike to learn more about it.
