Background:

Fulbourn Primary School was founded in the Victorian era and is situated in large grounds in the village centre. The buildings have been 'progressively developed' and there are two hard surface playgrounds with 'attractive' play apparatus for all children. As a village school Fulbourn has close community links, especially with sports clubs. The staff and governors encourage children to develop their creative talents by participating in activities such as the school choir and orchestra. The school is 'proud of the high standards' it achieves in music. 'The school believes in supporting educational changes and fully complies with the need to provide a thorough education in the core subjects'.
