Background:

The School building was taken over by the county council from the builders Bernard Ward and came into full use on 3rd September 1986 with the first intake of children. The present school consists of eight classrooms, a hall, two large entrance lobbies, staff room and office accommodation. It is a primary co-educational designed to take children between four and 11 Years old. In addition to the national curriculum, the school is able to offer a large number of curricular activities, which include swimming, extensive environmental studies in the school's unique area, fully integrated cross-curricular Information Technology leading to skills needed for desktop publishing and data handling and conversational French. The school organises fund raising events for the benefit of the school. The school comprises of termly children's discos, an annual quiz, summer fete and other activities. The school aims to provide a happy and caring atmosphere of learning where each and every child is challenged by high quality teaching.
