Background:

The school is situated on the eastern fringe of the village of Fordham. Children at the school spend one hour a week on team games and an average of eight to 12 football matches a season are played against local primary schools, which are sometimes accompanied by netball matches. Children may also take part in activities such as skittle ball, five-a-side mixed soccer and an annual sports day competition with local schools. Other extra-curricular activities/special events include singing groups, Christmas school productions, guest speakers, computer club, reading club, brass instrument tuition and a variety of half-day trips. The school has a council, which has been involved with staff selection, and 'many' parents help within the school as voluntary educational assistants. Each year the school adopts a charity and in previous years these have included Light into Europe and East Anglia's Children's Hospices. The school aims to 'serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice'.
