Background:
The second of the Cambridgeshire Village Colleges founded in 1937, the school continues to reflect the vision of Henry Morris. It is a mixture of attractive buildings, sculpture, ponds and gardens and serves 22 villages in the open countryside between Cambridge and Newmarket. Exceptional facilities are extensively used by the local community and including a large sports hall, indoor heated swimming pool and 35 acres of playing fields, while a new community library opened in 1995 and a new music suite in 1997. Specialist humanaties college status from 2004. Over-subscribed, with 1.2 applications per place. Sportsmark Gold.
