A suburban school that opened in 1975, three miles north of Peterborough city centre; single-class entry. Well-organised, open-plan school; spacious playing fields; out-of-school care club, run in mornings, evenings and during holidays. Before-school care, from 8am; after-school care, until 6pm. Good links with parents. The school also has 'positive' relationship with pre-school facilities and secondary schools. Investor in People status; Health-promoting School. Numerous visits and visitors as well as clubs and groups: 'strong tradition' in sport, music and drama. Regular success in competition and performance. Over-subscribed, with 1.3 applications per place. DfES achievement award (2000, 2003). Ethos: 'We have high standards and high expectations for every child. We seek to provide the opportunities and support for each child to succeed'.
